Susan England
Su is a solicitor with over 25 years’ experience specialising in Private Client work. Her path to the law was somewhat unusual in that she read Chemistry and Geology at Durham University, and worked for five years as an engineering geologist, before re-training as a solicitor.
Her main areas of work are:
- Wills, including reviewing existing Wills and preparation of first or new Wills, for individuals and couples;
- Estate and succession planning, including advice on inheritance tax and capital gains tax and strategies to protect and provide for the next generation;
- Powers of Attorney, including preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney;
- Estate administration;
- Variations of Estates; and
- Trusts, including their set-up, administration, and wind-up, as well as their capital taxation.
Su prides herself on listening carefully to my clients to understand what they want to achieve, and then offering solutions tailored to their situation. She regularly receives positive feedback on her friendliness and approachability, and on the clarity of her oral and written advice.
